Performance and visual art by Macclesfield based Artist Simon Woolham and his sidekick The Frog. Featuring music w/ L.A.S.H
BasementArtsProject have always straddled a line between the private and personal when it comes to presenting the idea of life as an artwork. Where does the public persona end and the private life begin?
The family home is a place of rest, a place away from the hubbub of daily life and the world at large. BasementArtsProject is an experimental arts venue that has been running out of a family home for the last 13 years. Macclesfield based artist Simon Woolham will be spending some time in residence with the family behind BasementArtsProject ahead of his exhibition, and examining the living ephemera of life in a complex public/private arena.
‘The Living Tomb: In Life And Death We Are Intertwined’ imagines a place of rest as the veil collapses between the private, the public and the gone beyond…
For the opening Simon (The Human) will be performing with his band L.A.S.H and there will also be an appearance by his alter-ego The Frog.
