Free to all

Immerse yourself in new paintings and a collaborative installation by Lubaina Himid.

Initially trained in theatre design, Lubaina Himid is one of the UK’s most renowned and celebrated contemporary artists, known for her innovative approaches to painting and social engagement. A pivotal member of the British Black Arts movement in the 1980s, she has earned international recognition for her figurative canvases, which explore overlooked histories and the tensions of contemporary life.

The exhibition will present new paintings by Himid alongside a special installation made in collaboration with Magda Stawarska and interventions in the Kettle’s Yard house.
