Cartwright Hall Art Gallery
Cartwright Hall is Bradford's civic art gallery and offers a programme of contemporary exhibitions, as well as four permanent galleries displaying works from its art collections.
Located within the scenic Lister Park, Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is Bradford’s premier destination for art lovers. Opened in 1904, the gallery boasts a permanent collection spanning centuries, alongside a program of exciting temporary exhibitions.
Diverse collection
Cartwright Hall’s permanent collection showcases a diverse range of works with notable pieces by JMW Turner and LS Lowry. The gallery also houses an impressive collection of international contemporary prints, featuring works by Pop Art giants Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. For those interested in South Asian art and craft will find a dedicated collection in the gallery, including Islamic calligraphy and contemporary Sikh art.
