Cubitt Gallery, Studios and Education
With a National Art Pass you get
An artist-led non-profit gallery, Cubitt Gallery has grown over 25 years into a hub for international developments in contemporary visual culture.
The multifaceted arts institution located in Islington, London was founded in 1991. The unique complex functions as a non-profit gallery, a nurturing ground for aspiring creatives with its 32 artist studios, and a centre for community arts education.
Evolving exhibition program
The gallery is artist-led, with an 18-month curatorial fellowship that fosters fresh perspectives and experimentation. This means there's always something new to discover, from established names to emerging talents, whether it's thought-provoking installations, cutting-edge video works, or innovative paintings.
Artist studios
Cubitt fosters a dynamic community of artists by providing 32 dedicated studio spaces. These studios serve as a nurturing environment for over 30 artists to create, collaborate, and showcase their work. The resident artists themselves contribute to the Cubitt experience, and some even participate in the education programs, offering valuable insights to aspiring artists.
Cubitt communities
Cubitt offers a wide range of programs catering to a diverse audience, ranging from young children and teenagers to older adults and those facing mental health challenges. From the Institute of Anything for younger people, to Saturday Socials workshops for over 55s to the intergenerational project Remote Connections, these programs focus on using art for creative expression, social connection, and well-being.
