A haven for those who love a trip down memory lane, Dingles Fairground Museum in Devon houses the National Fairground Collection, the largest of its kind in the UK. This unique museum isn't just about looking, it allows visitors to experience the magic of traditional fairs firsthand, providing an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
Restored rides
Explore a vast collection of historical fairground rides, meticulously restored to their former glory. From beautifully hand-painted carousel horses to the iconic Gallopers, these rides encapsulate the craftsmanship and artistry of fairground engineering. The museum also houses vintage games, posters and fairground organs.
All the fun of the fair
Climb aboard some of the restored rides, many of which are still operational. The museum runs two operating sessions everyday where you can experience the thrill of the Moon Rocket or the Ghost Train. Or why not test your skills at traditional fairground games such as Beat the Clock or Hook a Duck. The museum also offers interactive exhibits that delve into the history and cultural significance of fairgrounds.
Dingles Fairground Museum will be closing for good at the end of the 2024 season.

Opening times
We are delighted to welcome visitors to all of the above, plus our new dedicated 25,000sq ft exhibition space featuring a whole host of fairground artwork and artefacts, including numerous new exhibits.
However we are closing, permanently from this November. So grab your final chance to see our art collection in Devon.

Exclusions and safety measures
The site is now all on one level for accessibility, with drop off points for those with disabilities right by the main entrance. We regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs, except guide and hearing dogs (water bowls available on request).
Refurbishments
