Since 1883, Gallery Oldham has amassed one of the largest permanent collections in the north west of England and offers exhibits, events and activities for all ages.

The gallery boasts an impressive permanent collection spanning centuries. It contains thousands of natural history specimens and archaeological artefacts as well as fine and decorative art including the Lees Collection of English Watercolours. Works by Pre-Raphaelite and Victorian painters sit alongside post-war pieces including Pop Art and abstract creations. The gallery also delves into Oldham's rich social and industrial heritage through historical artefacts and thought-provoking displays.

Making memories
Gallery Oldham is a dementia friendly gallery and museum. The museum has a range of themed boxes available to hire by care homes and other organisations working with older people. Boxes contain museum items to help inspire marvellous memories and creative responses for those who are unable to visit the museum.
