A heritage museum and working 19th century corn mill powered by Northumberland’s River Till.
Step back in time at the Heatherslaw Corn Mill, a site where locally grown wheat has been ground for over 700 years. Now the restored 19th century building houses the working water mill and a heritage museum, where you can learn about hydropower, the flour production process, the mill’s history and the stories of the people who worked there. Whether your kids want to dress up as Victorian or you want to bake your own bread, it’s a great day out for all the family!

Opening times
The Mill will be open daily between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Last entry at 4:00 PM.
The gift shop is open until 5:00 PM.
In September and October 2024 there will be no miller on duty on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can still go into the mill and and there will be no charge for admission on these days, however the mill will not be running.
The Mill closes for the season on Sunday November 3rd at 4pm.
