Holkham Hall on the Norfolk coast boasts stunning examples of 18th century architecture and an enviable collection of art.

The Hall is renowned for its architectural grandeur. Designed by William Kent for the 1st Earl of Leicester, it is considered one of the finest examples of Palladian revival in England.

Historic house

Beyond the impressive exterior lies a treasure trove of history and art. The State Rooms boast a remarkable collection that reflects the wealth and refined tastes of the Coke family, who have resided at Holkham for centuries. Discover ancient sculptures, original furniture passed down through generations, and exquisite tapestries adorning the walls. Coke’s collection also features masterpieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, and Gainsborough plus works by French landscape artist Claude Lorrain.

Explore the estate

The estate encompasses a sprawling 25,000 acres, offering a diverse landscape for exploration. Don’t miss the Holkham Stories Experience, an interactive exhibit showcasing the estate's fascinating 400-year journey. Holkham Hall is also a known hotspot for herds of deer, and is just a short way from the beach, where, if you’re lucky, you might spy a seal or two.

Adventure for all ages

Families can enjoy a fun-filled day navigating the high ropes course or letting loose in the Woodland Play Area. Adventurers can explore the estate on rented bikes or embark on a scenic boat ride on the lake.
