The multi-purpose space encompasses a museum, library, and exhibition space, all under one roof. The free-entry venue offers something for everyone, whether you're interested in art, history, or simply looking for a relaxing place to spend an afternoon.

Scottish Art

The gallery houses a significant collection of Scottish art, not only do they house the largest collection of paintings by Scottish Colourist Samuel Peploe outside of the National Galleries of Scotland, but they also have an extensive collection of works by Victorian artist William McTaggart. These collections, along with works by other renowned artists, give a fascinating insight into Scottish art history.

Beyond the gallery

While the art collection is a major draw, Kirkcaldy Galleries offers much more. The museum section delves into the history of Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area. Research your family’s past in the Local & Family History Room. The library provides a welcoming space to browse books, magazines, and other resources, there’s also a cafe for refreshments and a gift shop where you can find unique souvenirs.
