The gallery houses a significant collection of Scottish art, not only do they house the largest collection of paintings by Scottish Colourist Samuel Peploe outside of the National Galleries of Scotland, but they also have an extensive collection of works by Victorian artist William McTaggart. These collections, along with works by other renowned artists, give a fascinating insight into Scottish art history.
Beyond the gallery
While the art collection is a major draw, Kirkcaldy Galleries offers much more. The museum section delves into the history of Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area.
