The museum boasts a collection of over 30,000 artefacts. These tell the fascinating story of the local area, from its maritime and industrial past to its social developments.

Industrial past
Explore the impact of the steel industry, which once dominated the region, through the museum's Steel Stories exhibition. This permanent display features objects and stories from the people who lived and worked in the industry, offering a unique glimpse into a bygone era.
Exploring the grounds
Explore the beautiful grounds surrounding Kirkleatham Museum. A woodland trail, suitable for all abilities, meanders through the grounds, which also feature a new state of the art play area for children up to the age of 12. Surrounding the play areas are picnic benches, a new maze and a flat lawn. There is also an on-site café to grab a bite to eat.
