Set in a Victorian church in King’s Lynn, the museum is a treasure trove for anyone curious about the region's past, from prehistoric times to the recent past. With its diverse collection and engaging atmosphere, Lynn Museum promises a captivating journey through time.

Seahenge circle

A highlight of the collection is the Seahenge Bronze Age timber circle which was discovered on Holme beach on the North Norfolk coast in 1998. Learn about the people who meticulously crafted the timbers and study the marks left by their bronze axes. Discover how this ancient wooden structure survived for 4,000 years.

Local history

The museum's collection extends far beyond this iconic landmark. Explore the West Norfolk Story which weaves a narrative through various eras, or marvel medieval objects, including tiles, metal work, pilgrim badges and stone carving.
