Exploring the exhibits
The Manx Museum's collection is vast and diverse. Unveil interesting facts about the island, from the story of Tynwald, the oldest continuous Parliament in the world, to displays about the legendary TT races, local wildlife in the Natural History Gallery, to discovering how the Isle of Man became a tourist hotspot in Victorian times.
Viking hoards
A highlight for many visitors is the Viking Gallery, which showcases some of the finest Viking treasures in the British Isles. Here you'll find hoards of silver and gold, intricate jewellery, weaponry, and fascinating archaeological finds, all brought to life through interactive displays and films.
Local art and artists
The museum houses the Isle of Man’s National Art Gallery, featuring over 130 artworks. Discover a mixture of historic and contemporary pieces by Manx artists, or artists inspired by the Isle of Man and its people, comprising works by leading Manx artists John Miller Nicholson, Archibald Knox, Bryan Kneale, Kevin Atherton and Michael Sandle and many others.
