Archaeology
A dedicated museum showcases archaeological finds and artefacts that unravel the long and fascinating story of the site, from its prehistoric beginnings to its time as a bishop's residence. Ongoing archaeological digs on the site have unearthed objects dating from the Neolithic period to the modern day and include evidence of Roman settlers, Saxon squatters and Viking invaders.
Garden
For a haven of peace, head out to the 13-acre botanic garden with its stunning plantings, rare trees and beautiful walled garden. Look out for the ancient evergreen oak is estimated to be at least 450 years old. The gardens also feature the Compton beds, a recent addition showcasing plant varieties grown at the palace centuries ago.
Exhibitions and activities
Fulham Palace also runs an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions in the newly created gallery space. There are also learning opportunities for young people including archaeology sessions and family trails and fun days.
