Explore the boats, history, and wildlife of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads at the waterside Museum of the Broads in Norwich.

Discover the people, landscape and wildlife of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. Their story takes you from Roman times through medieval peat digging, to the holiday makers, sailors and environmentalists of today. Discover the boats of the Broads and see how people’s working lives shaped the landscape.

The Museum’s collection shows how people have exploited the land and the waterways for food, transport and leisure. Many of the Museum’s Broads boats, tools, and associated items are unique. There are regularly changing exhibitions focusing on different aspects of life on the Broads. The Museum is located on the riverside with daily boat trips to explore the local waterways.
