Housed in a gothic-style warehouse beside the River Severn, the Museum of the Gorge uses archive film and interactive technology to explain the area's historical significance.
What to see
Explore a selection of reproductions of historic maps of Shropshire from the Patricia Bracegirdle Collection, which show the development of the county, its transport systems and its towns during the Industrial Revolution.

In summer 2015 the museum underwent a £25,000 refurbishment, which was made possible thanks to a campaign on the Art Fund's crowdfunding platform, Art Happens.
