Find out more
Staffed by volunteers, Narberth Museum explores 200 years of the social history of the quintessential Welsh market town in Pembrokeshire.
Housed within the atmospheric Bonded Stores originally built to house wine and spirits, the venue once sported double padlocks for security. Today Narbeth Museum has taken as its logo two keys, to represent the ‘opening up’ of the space, which showcases the rich tapestry of Narbeth's history, culture, and industry.
What to see
Delve into the past through a variety of engaging exhibits, from ancient artefacts to Victorian-era domestic life. Interactive displays, such as the recreated Victorian shop, provide a hands-on experience for all ages.
Scale models
See a model of the castle that once stood in Narberth and play an interactive game that illustrates the tactics used in medieval siege warfare. Alternatively, you can watch tiny trains running to an original timetable from a working scale model of the station.
Family-friendly fun
Narbeth Museum has a range of activities for younger visitors, such as dressing up in period costumes, exploring the interactive exhibits and puzzles, and participating in workshops and events. The museum often hosts special exhibitions and themed days, making it an ideal destination for a fun-filled family outing. Don’t miss the storytelling chair where children can listen to welsh folk stories in English and Welsh.
