Opened in 1991, this purpose-built museum and gallery in Llangefni offers a captivating journey through Anglesey's rich heritage, from its prehistoric past to its vibrant contemporary art scene.

Local history

Oriel Ynys Môn’s History Gallery presents the island's past, through sound, imagery, reconstructions and displays of real objects. Explore local archaeological finds such as Iron Age finds from Llyn Cerrig Bach and Roman artefacts from Tai Cochion. Delve into the lives of the people who shaped Anglesey, and gain insights into the island's unique culture and environment.

Kyffin Williams and Charles Tunnicliffe

Art lovers will be interested in Oriel Môn's diverse art collections. A permanent gallery dedicated to Wales' most celebrated artist, Sir Kyffin Williams, allows you to admire his evocative landscapes. Another highlight is the Charles Tunnicliffe Gallery, which houses an extensive collection of wildlife art by the celebrated Welsh artist.
