Peter Scott Gallery at Lancaster University holds the most significant collection of Royal Lancastrian ceramics in Britain.
Located within the Great Hall complex at Lancaster University, Peter Scott Gallery houses Lancaster University’s international art collection. The collection is not on permanent display but a number of works are shown every year as part of changing exhibitions. Please contact the gallery for information about works currently on display or to view items by appointment.
Ever growing art collection
The gallery houses a growing international art collection which features work by contemporary artists. The collection includes prints, paintings and sculpture by key figures of twentieth-century British art including Norman Adams, Patrick Caulfield, Elizabeth Frink and Barbara Hepworth. The gallery also holds collections of Japanese and Chinese art, and artefacts from ancient civilisations.

The gallery is named named after philanthropist Peter F. Scott, who played a key role in supporting the university's artistic endeavours.
