Step back in time and experience the grandeur of Sewerby Hall. The house is beautifully re-presented as an Edwardian Country house with period pieces on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum and East ridings Collection. Learn about the past residents and their servants through interactive displays.

Explore more than 50 acres of award-winning gardens and woodland at Sewerby. Choose from Walled, Pleasure and Rose Gardens or take a woodland walk and discover hidden paths, and stunning views of the coastline.
Talk to the animals
Sewerby Zoo is home to a variety of mammals and birds, including Humboldt Penguins and African pygmy goats. There are also numerous outdoor aviaries, and you could even take a llama or alpaca for a guided walk.
Did you know?
Sewerby Hall was opened to the public on 1 June, 1936 by pioneering aviatrix Amy Johnson, who was born nearby in Hull. Memorabilia was donated in 1958 by the family of the local aviator who disappeared in 1941, and is on permanent display at the hall.
