The museum takes you on a journey through time, starting from the prehistoric era and ending in the present day. Explore exhibits showcasing the town's Roman occupation, life in medieval times, the thriving textile industry of the Victorian era as well as the impact of World War 1.

Iron Age treasures

Explore the fantastic finds from the Mellor Iron Age hilltop settlement, including the famous Mellor Pot, a significant archaeological find that sheds light on the early history of the region.
