Wardown House – Museum and Gallery
Situated in the beautiful landscape of Wardown Park, Wardown House is a Victorian mansion turned museum offering a glimpse into Luton's past.
Get a glimpse into Luton's history and heritage at this converted Victorian house. Discover two floors of themed sections, from the Billiard Room with its trophy section, to the Library with its floor map, to the Luton Life Gallery upstairs, ideal for those interested in local culture, history, and art. You can even enjoy a tea or coffee in the small tea room overlooking Wardown Park.

Luton was once a major centre of the hat industry, and the museum boasts a significant collection of hats and headwear. The museum also houses a nationally important collection of Bedfordshire lace. Learn about the skill, craftsmanship and industry of local lacemakers.
Regimental Gallery
Learn about the history of the local Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment and its role in the First and Second World Wars. See military artefacts including uniforms, medals, weapons and military band instruments.
Interactive exhibits
As you immerse yourself in the story of Luton and the surrounding area, try out some of the hands-on exhibits. The museum also offers educational and fun activities for children through the year and also has a programme of temporary exhibitions in the Morning Room Art Gallery, meaning there is often something new to explore.
