The Lake District’s, award-winning, Windermere Jetty Museum is dedicated to the boats, people and rich history of Windermere, England’s largest natural lake.

This spectacular museum and visitor destination is a vibrant, family-friend venue which champions industry and engineering in one of England’s most beautiful locations, the Lake District National Park. A working destination, committed to conserving, saving and sharing its internationally important collection, this museum is supported by a collection built by local builder and boat enthusiast, George Pattison.

We will be closed on 25–26 December 2024. The Museum will also be closed from 20–31 January 2025, but the café and shop will reopen on 22 January.
