Admire the art collection
The museum boasts a rich collection of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and prints. Highlights include works by British Impressionist artists Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes and Dame Laura Knight, and landscapes by local artist Benjamin Williams Leader.
Lea & Perrins archive
The museum charts the industrial history of the city, exhibiting a unique collection of artefacts related to the iconic Worcestershire sauce. These include vintage bottles, advertising materials, historical documents and the extremely rare lignite jug first used to mix the world famous sauce. Elsewhere you can find a preserved 19th-century chemist shop, complete with original fixtures and fittings, and a display on Worcester’s gloving industry.
Local history
Learn about Worcester’s development from prehistory to present day. See dinosaur footprints, a Roman mosaic pavement and items collected by local Victorian adventurers. The museum also houses the collections of the Worcestershire Regiment and the Worcestershire Yeomanry Cavalry.
Fun for all ages
The museum organises special exhibitions, events and talks throughout the year. There ias also a lively programme of of science and craft activities for all the family to enjoy during the school holidays.
