Album of 97 designs for silks

James Leman, 1706–1716

This group of beautiful designs for silk are almost all by James Leman and the earliest silk designs to have survived anywhere. Bound into a fragile nineteenth century volume, they are executed in brilliant watercolours and are in excellent condition. They include floral and leaf designs.
