Unknown artist, 1690–1736

1) Box covered with linen embroidered with coloured beads, English or French, circa 1690. 2) Linen purse embroidered with silk threads in Florentine and cross stiches, edged with crimson. Initialled S.S. on one side and the date 1736 on other. English. Part of two gifts to eight museums by Dorothea Hamilton through the Art Fund in 1963 and 1971.
