Coconut Cup

Unknown artist, 1653–1654

Cup mounted in silver. Nut undecorated; silver lip everted with waist in which there is a cable-twist wire; four plain, hinged straps form the attachment to a calyx. Plain baluster stem and spreading foot. One of five gifts to three museums by H Eric Miller through the Art Fund between 1928 and 1946.
