Corner cupboard

Unknown artist, 1638

One of three oak corner cupboards distributed from the Simpson bequest. Many objects from the collection of the late Mr WW Simpson were presented to the Victoria and Albert Museum and British Museum in 1918 through the Art Fund. The remainder of the bequest was stored by the Victoria and Albert Museum during the First World War and then presented to museums in Derby, Nottingham, Bradford and Salford.
