This piece was designed for the Summer Smoking Room at Cardiff Castle where most of the original furnishings by Burgess are still in situ. This particular table was sold by Lord Bute in 1949 and its location had not been known. Cardiff Castle has recently been able to acquire a few of the original furnishings including the painting of the Clock Tower, ArtFunded in 2006.
