
This watercolour is part of a collection of 10 drawings and one etching mostly of the Lake District presented to Victoria Art Gallery, Bath; Ulster Museum, Belfast; New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester; Royal Institute of British Architects, London; Astley Cheetham Public Library and Art Gallery, Stalybridge and Wakefield Art Gallery. The donors, Miss C M Rivington and the late Miss C L Rivington were cousins to Sir Charles John Holmes. Wakefield Art Gallery is currently closed and will open in 2011 as The Hepworth Wakefield.
