L'Armoire

Jean-Honore Fragonard, 1778

A couple opening a wardrobe are furious to find their daughter's lover inside. The young woman is crying on the left, while a nosey crowd is watching the scene on the right. This etching is a duplicate from the Albertina collection in Vienna, one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world.
