Armchair
George Marshall Strapps, late 19th Century
This unusual chair is believed to be the only example by Strapps in the UK. The remarkable carvings include domestic scenes, two fully formed lions resting on each arm, mysterious faces peering from their handles, and a young man riding a horse on top of the back rest.
