
All the characters of this work, down to the differentiation between sky, artificial light, window surface and brick wall are achieved by means of parallel vertical lines, with only a breaking of the line in the sky and a light cross hatching in the brick, ,to vary the method. This etching is part of a collection of 10 etchings by contemporary artists presented to Victoria Art Gallery, Bath; Central Library, Dundee; New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester and Astley Cheetham Public Library and Art Gallery, Stalybridge.
