Art Funded by you

Marriage chest

, 2005

The chest was commissioned with the prize awarded to Sir Nicholas Goodison by CINOA (La Confédération Internationale de Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art) for lifetime achievement in the arts. The chest was designed to echo the Fitzwilliam's collections of renaissance paintings and marriage chest. The strong red and blue colours are the colours of the Queen of Heaven. The top of the chest has been designed to act as a plinth for a work of art.
