A generous gift of seven oil paintings was presented anonymously to the Art Fund in 2001 for display at the Judges' Lodgings Museum, Lancaster. The collection, brought together in the late 19th century, includes works by Old Masters as well as paintings by 19th-century French and English artists. The Judges' Lodgings opened as a museum in 1976.
