Set of bangles

Jane Adam, 2008

© Jane Adam

The set of bangles displays AdamÂ’s mastery of the manipulation of materials, and her sensitivity to the different qualities of precious and non-precious metals. The working evident in each bangle reveals the richness of each material, celebrating each metal for its own sake. Adam is committed to pushing the boundaries of the art of jewellery, both in her use of materials and experimenting with new techniques. Hove has a good collection of contemporary craft by local makers and this acquisition provides an international perspective, adding to the depth and profile of the collection.
