Seven Breton Women

Eugène Boudin, 1824–1898

Seven Breton women kneeling at prayer and reading. Between 1865 and 1872 Boudin produced the series of paintings 'Pardon en Bretagne' which depicted Breton women at evening prayer. This work is not recorded as part of the series but is clearly a study relating to it.
