This neo-classical scrolled-armed window seat was part of the original suite of furniture designed and made for the library at Kenwood. There were originally three window seats in the Library which were designed en suite with the scroll sofas in the mirror recesses opposite. They remained at Kenwood until the auction of 1922. It is the second of the window seats to return to Kenwood and will join other Adam furniture within the Adam Library, as well as Lord MansfieldÂ’s writing desk.
