Statue of a woman in grey marble from the late Sumerian period.
Eyes and eyebrows originally inlaid, probably with lapis lazuli and shell. The dress is the kaunakes or fringed garment. It is missing the feet and the eyes are empty.

Probably from a city in Northern Babylonia. Bought in Baghdad by Dr Herzfeld.
