The decoration of the flask with the Young Pretender was appropriate for her because her Jacobite sympathies were well known both within her family and by her friends. She grew white roses at Ickworth and wore a white rose on the Old Pretender's birthday. Capodimonte scent bottles are extremely rare and only four others are known which are strictly comparable.
