Join New Room historian and author Gary Best for a morning exploring his writing and particularly his new book, The Christian Alphabet.

Gary has published more than 20 books during his writing career. He is an expert on Methodist history but has also written five novels, a children’s book and a musical!

He has written a definitive history of the New Room (The Cradle of Methodism) and a bestselling book about Bristol and the transatlantic slave trade (Slavery and Bristol).

For this latest publication, Gary has collected together a series of 26 themed topics for use by individuals and church housegroups. Starting at A and continuing right through to Z, his topics include Desert Dreams, Having Hope, Perfect Peace and Quality Questioning.

Join Gary in the museum at John Wesley’s New Room as he introduces his new book and talks about his approach to being an author.
