Get ready for a summer filled with STEAM-inspired play! Step into a realm of wonder and inspiration with fun activities at Windermere Jetty Museum.

Work together, find inspiration and create something you’re proud of over the holidays at Windermere Jetty Museum. Here you’ll find creative activities for you and your family to try, along with a seasonal sensory area our younger visitors can enjoy at their own pace – all against the stunning backdrop of the lake.

Be inspired by STEAM

Step into a realm of wonder and inspiration with our refreshed Microworld display! Perfect for families, this immersive experience invites you to explore the intricate and captivating world of tiny ecosystems and visually see the influence we all have on these Microworlds.

Makedo activities

Let your imagination run wild with our drop-in, hands-on activity using child-safe tools designed by Makedo. Build elaborate structures, create whimsical creatures, or design intricate models using eco-friendly materials —it’s all up to you!

STEM-inspired play

Learn about boat building, steam and wind power, England’s longest lake and surrounding nature through our interactive trails and self-led activities. Pick up your trail guides from the front desk to embark on your discovery.

Join our daily conservation conversation at 11:30am for insight into what our conservation team are currently working on.

Details

  • All activities mentioned above are included with museum admission.

  • Makedo activities will take place in the Learning Centre or Old Fire Station.

  • Makedo activities will run between 11am to 3.45pm during local school holidays.

  • All children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
