Peterborough Trams, a Distant Memory.
Join Brandan Fox in a talk about Peterborough's electric tram network.
Peterborough’s electric tram network ran from 1903 to 1930, a direct ancestor of today’s Stagecoach buses. Trams ran to Walton, Dogsthorpe and Newark - we will tour the routes through photographs, seeing how Peterborough looked in the early part of the last century. How did the trams work? How much were the staff paid? What came before and after the trams? We will explore these questions and many more.
