This Doors Open Day (14th September) come along and see the colliery buildings from the ‘other side’! Explore the landscape, plants and flowers surrounding the Lady Victoria site with ecologist Matt Harding from the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland, Dr Catherine Mills from Stirling University and staff from NMMS.
The walk is mostly level but the ground is rough and uneven in some places so please wear sturdy footwear and come prepared for the Scottish weather! There will be some standing. The maximum distance is 0.5k and around 1 hour in duration. This event is not suitable for children.
Registration is now open for this FREE* behind the scenes tour.
*The museum’s tours and exhibitions are open and bookable as normal and not included in the Doors Open Day offer.
