Fid out what happened during the Battle of Nantwich.
The Battle of Nantwich was an important victory of a make-shift Parliamentary army over the Royalists. There had been few Parliamentarian victories in 1643 and early 1644 and Fairfax's triumph against Lord Byron in the battle to relieve the Siege of Nantwich was celebrated as far away as London. This talk by Keith Lawrence reviews the build-up to the battle and places the fight within the modern landscape.
