St Mary's Church, Nantwich, stands testament to the damage caused when a musket ball hits sandstone. While not alone is having remains of the civil war conflict still evident it’s the only one with systematically recorded data in a Community Archaeology Project, described in this talk by Keith Lawrence. A musket, shot and the impact scar models will be available to handle.
