Join the Florence Nightingale Museum and go on a historical adventure with Vlad the flea and Loxton the rat!

At 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm meet Vlad the Flea autor Kate Cunningham for story time, where you will learn all about the life and times of Florence Nightingale.

Afterward attend an art workshop with illustrator Sam Cunningham, as he helps you to create your own story-book characters.

This event is included with all general admission tickets.

Copies of Vlad and the Florence Nightingale Adventure will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

Book Summary:

‘In 1854 Vlad the flea and Loxton the rat were enjoying the rotten food and dirt in Scutari Hospital. Their lives were turned upside down by the arrival of Florence Nightingale and her tortoise Jimmy. They know a lot about Florence and her work, but how much do you know?

Find out about Florence Nightingale through puzzles and games and learn how to people with basic first aid skills.’
