Join our volunteers for an informative guided tour of LCT 7074.
Join our volunteers for an informative guided tour of LCT 7074. Discover its fascinating history from construction in the North East of England through to its role on D-Day, post war use as a floating nightclub, subsequent move to Portsmouth, and restoration. Hear about the personal stories of those involved in what is a remarkable story.
Guided tours will run throughout the day and are included within the price of an admission ticket to the museum. Spaces can be reserved at reception upon arriving at the museum. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and there are a limited number of spaces on each tour.
The tour is intended as an introduction to the Landing Craft and you are welcome to explore LCT 7074 further as part of your visit to the museum. Tours are not recommended for younger visitors.
LCT 7074 is a historic vessel and therefore there are a number of uneven surfaces onboard. The tour covers two levels of the ship and the upper deck is accessed by stairs. For further information on accessing the Landing Craft, please visit our accessibility page. Our team will be happy to answer any queries ahead of or during your visit to the museum.
Due to weather or other unexpected circumstances, tours may be cancelled at short notice for safety reasons.
