Come and enjoy the dances known to the young men and women contemporary with John Keats.
To accompany our exhibition 'Hidden Histories of Keats House', we are very excited to stage a workshop on one of Fanny Brawne's (a previous occupant) favourite pastimes - dancing! Come and enjoy the dances known to the young men and women contemporary with John Keats. With the Prince Regent on the throne (1811 – 1820) the sociable and light-hearted country dances, cotillons, waltzes and quadrilles were found in grand ballrooms, family parties and country hops.
No previous experience is necessary and no need to bring a partner.
