British Science Week! Don your pith helmet, grab one of our explorer packs, and gear up in search of minibeasts and more!
It's British Science Week and the Science Ninjas are back!!
Don your pith helmet, grab one of our explorer packs, and gear up in search of minibeasts and more!
Join us for an outdoors expedition as we survey all the weird and wonderful species living in the beautiful park opposite our museum. Get ready to see everything up close and personal with our magnifying glasses and prepare yourself for a learning journey as we discover all the awesome ways plants and animals have adapted to the places they live. We’ll use real ecological sampling tools such as quadrats and pooter jars and learn how random sampling can turn looking for the smallest critters into a massive adventure!
Just £1 per child to join Explorer Charlie on an expedition!
Adults attend for free - children must be accompanied by an adult.
As it's March and we will be outside, please ensure that you are appropriately dressed for the session. The Minibeasts expedition will take place in Torwood Gardens - please check in at the museum 10 minutes before your booked time slot.
