Protect Our Wellbeing: Stitching Workshop at Glenside Hospital Museum

3 April 2025
Open 5.30 Event 6.00 - 8.00

Join us for a creative and calming sewing experience! Sewing is a relaxing and expressive activity that promotes wellbeing.

Sewing is a relaxing and expressive activity that promotes wellbeing. Be inspired by our current exhibition, Answering the Call, which explores the stories of Commonwealth psychiatric nurses through embroidery, appliqué, and three-dimensional textiles.

Whether you're an expert or a beginner, this workshop will encourage you to experiment and stitch in new, creative ways. Expert guidance will be provided, and all materials supplied—though you’re welcome to bring along your favourite tools, threads, and fabrics.

We hope you'll continue your project at home and visit the museum for further advice during our opening hours. You’ll also have the opportunity to display your final piece as part of our exhibition.

The entry price includes all materials and expert guidance
